Day 7, Sunday August 11th- Blue Flame

Today was going to be a great day, Scott and I did not have a big appetite, we barely ate any breakfast, we were so excited because Harris and Akhbar were going to pick us up at 10am to take us to the Blue Flame swimming pool...ok, this is a private pool, very close to where we are staying, fairly new, few years old, indoor...restaurant, offices, weight room, jacuzzi etc....we will do some training here too ( its 6 lanes shallow at one end and deep at another)...no training today, we are meeting some of the players, the president of the national federation Qasem, one of the captains/players who have been on the team for a while, Hamid...the pool owner, the assistant to the president of the water polo federation, and some other important people, discussing strategy for the next few weeks as far as training, equipment, media, and anything else...they were very happy that we came all the way from America to help them out...they are very ambitious to make their team competitive against the best teams from Asia and ultimately the world....the welcome they gave us was so amazing...they treated me like some famous guy...very cool...
